POSITIONS  

                            

2012-present  Provost, Florham Campus, and Senior VP for Government and Community Affairs, FDU.  The provost is responsible for all Florham Campus operations and all budgets comprising approximately $55 million for a total student population of approximately 3500.  Also includes oversight of budget and operations for Wroxton College in Oxfordshire, UK. The Sr. VP for Government and Community Affairs is responsible for the University’s external relations with public, elected officials and their staffs, and with federal and state agencies. It also includes oversight of university-wide, externally-focused organizations such as the University Press, The Literary Review, and the PublicMind Poll.

 

2002-2012    Executive Director, PublicMind: Co-founder, director, and primary architect of the university’s independent survey research center, engaging faculty from a variety of disciplines and all colleges, raising the university’s profile both regionally and nationally in print, radio, television and web-based and social media, conducting regional and national attitude measurements as a public service, and undertaking research for government, corporate and non-profit organizations. 2001-2002   Fellow of the American Council of Education, hosted by Lafayette College, Easton, PA: engaging in trustee relations, strategic planning, enrollment management, institutional development, legal issues, and governmental relations: Special interest in enrollment competition as well as structural advantages and disadvantages of private, noon-profit institutions.

Professor of Comparative Politics (full, tenured) specializing in the contemporary  US-Japan defense relationship; US public opinion.
